The Bookshelf

Here’s a short list of recommended reading. All of these books are, quite literally, currently on my bookshelf ( thanks in part to St. Louis County Library and Borders ).  Not to say they are the only books I’ve read lately – some books I don’t recommend : “Fleeced” ( I felt fleeced after wasting my time reading this circumstantial, partisan, scewed piece of crap) and”Liberal Facism” ( again, the lack of factual information and overwhelming use of loosely strung details made it difficult to stand by this book). If you have any recomended reading – let me know! I would love suggestions, or comments if you’ve read any of the following:

  • The War Within : Bob Woorward
  • The Revolution : Ron Paul
  • Schott’s Miscellany 2008 Almanac : Ben Schott
  • The Israel Lobby And U.S. Foreign Policy : John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen M. Walt
  • The Audacity of Hope : Barack Obama
  • Change We Can Believe In : Barack Obama
  • The World Without Us : Alan Weisman
  • The Post-American World : Fareed Zakaria
  • Moral Clarity : A Guide for Grown-Up Idealists : Susan Neiman
  • The Return of History and the End of Dreams : Robert Kagan
  • Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution and How It Can Renew America : Thomas L. Friedman
  • The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot : Naomi Wolf
